21 Nov Landmark Leads with Gray & Adams
Chilled and frozen food transport and distribution company, Landmark Haulage Ltd, has recently completed a considerable site expansion and taken delivery of new Gray & Adams twin evaporator trailers in order to fulfil a natural expansion of the business.
Although offering a fully bespoke logistics package to customers, the Portadown-based company specialises in groupage work throughout all of Ireland, with daily routes that serve the needs of food processing and manufacturing companies the length and breadth of the country. With fourteen years in business the company has grown steadily, to the point that a site expansion was necessary to cater for the amount of work being taken on. A decision was made to extend the existing premises to include six loading bays and as of August this year these new bays have been fully functional.
“Our business volume has steadily grown over time and this dictated that a site extension was necessary for us to keep up to speed with the company’s goals. We are delighted with the completed work and the extra capacity that we now have will give our operation the added support that we have needed for some time.” – Mark Somerville, Owner, Landmark Haulage
To cater for the diverse requirements of the Landmark customer base, all trailers operated by the company are dual-temperature. To coincide with the site expansion, the company has taken delivery of Gray & Adams twin evaporator trailers to add to the existing fleet. All recent equipment has been specified with twin evaporators because of the flexibility that this set-up offers.
“The flexibility that twin evaps give is critical for my business because the bulk of the work is groupage. It widens the possibilities for running chilled and frozen together and means that we can offer our customers a much more varied service”. – Mark Somerville, Owner, Landmark Haulage
Mark also outlined his reasons why Gray & Adams equipment dominates his fleet:
“We strive to be at the forefront of our industry at all times, which is a business approach that we have come to realise we share with Gray & Adams. When purchasing equipment my main priorities are residual value and back-up support, both of which I am guaranteed with Gray & Adams. The back-up is local and the quality of the product helps us to achieve our reputation of running a highly reliable service”. – Mark Somerville, Owner, Landmark Haulage
It is hoped that the new state-of-the-art site facilities and recent trailer purchases will further enhance the comprehensive service that Landmark already offers to customers.
